Equality for All

All people, no matter their gender, color, race, religion, abilities or income should have a chance to succeed. Some people need a bit more of a boost than others, and McHenry County should be there to provide the help these residents need.

We need to ensure that all children have access to good education and healthcare.  Adults should have training opportunities, a livable wage, healthcare, and job opportunities that will take care of their family. Child care, elder care, health insurance, and transportation – all of these issues may affect whether a person can get and keep a job.  Extreme medical costs are bankrupting families, college loans make it hard to afford a house or start a family, and a minimum wage that is below the poverty line adds to the struggles that some already have.

I continue to advocate that our county’s programs provide the needed tools and services so these residents have the opportunity to be successful.
